1. A maximum of 12,000 ducks will be entered in the race. 

2. Ducks will be launched in heats in a specially created waterway beginning at approximately 10:30 AM on Saturday April 27, 2024 at Friendship Gardens, Harvey West Park. AMENDMENT - Duck numbers will be randomly selected by our online number selection software. Each tag number (distinct number per duck) is entered into our software. All ducks purchased after the number generator has run will not be eligible for a prize and considered a donation.

3. All ducks entered will be provided by the Presenter and shall remain the property of the Presenter. 

4. A tag number will be attached to each duck relating to the number on an entry ticket. Multiple duck entries from one ticket will be assigned additional tag numbers for identification. The person's name who appears on the entry ticket corresponding to the first ducks in order of finish will be awarded prizes. A list of prize winners can be obtained from the Presenter by sending a written request and a self-addressed stamped return envelope to: The Omega Nu Ducky Derby, PO Box 1696, Santa Cruz, CA 95061. The prize winners will also be listed on our website and can be contacted at omeganusc@gmail.com

5. The combined retail value of all prizes will be at least $20,000. 

6. The entry portion of each paper race ticket must be completely filled out and delivered to Presenter at the address set forth in Paragraph five (5) above or can be hand delivered to a representative on the day of the event. Race tickets, both paper and virtual, must be received by the Presenter before the last race for a ticket to be eligible to win any prize. No other tickets are eligible to win any prize. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to the Presenter or an authorized representative of the Presenter before the race for a ticket to be eligible to win any prize. 

7. Presenter requests donation of $5.00 per entry to benefit the Omega Nu Scholarship Fund, Santa Cruz County Youth Programs and Santa Cruz City Parks and Recreations Dept. under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. 

8. No purchase is necessary in order to enter or win. 

9. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the race. Entrants will, when necessary, also be notified by email, US Mail or by telephone. Race winners need not be present to win. If any race winner does not claim his or her prize from the Presenter at the address listed in Paragraph five (5) above within 30 days after April 23, 2022, the Presenter will select winner through a random drawing of entry tickets. All prizes will be awarded. Winners must prove eligibility. 

10. No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes. Any and all taxes and similar fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. Some prizes may have restrictions. 

11. By entering, entrants release the Presenter and its officers, directors and staff and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes. 

12. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation. 

13. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries. 

14. This event is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void when prohibited by law.
